Educational and Inspiring: Enoshima’s Beach Clean-Up with Kind-hearted Youth

On August 3, 2023, my daughter and I went to Enoshima. Our purpose was to participate in the Chibikko(ankle-biter) BEACH SAVER Park and take part in a beach cleanup.

We first traveled from Kawasaki to Fujisawa, and then made our way to Enoshima. We enjoyed the journey, and finally arrived at the eagerly anticipated Enoshima.

This day’s beach cleanup with my daughter was a highly meaningful experience, providing her with valuable lessons in environmental stewardship and education.

Parents may feel apprehensive about taking their young children to the beach, but the kindness and assistance we received from the Shonan high school girls moved us deeply.

Experiencing the kindness of these young people left a profound impression on me. It dispelled any preconceived notions I may have had about today’s youth.

My daughter felt a bit nervous about her first beach visit in a year, and she shed a few tears due to fear of the sea.

I’m grateful for sharing such a wonderful experience with my daughter, and I’m looking forward to spending more enjoyable time with her in the future.

If you find yourself feeling weary, a beach cleanup might just be the soothing balm your heart needs.
