Yesterday, an old woman gave me money.
I took Momo for a walk from our house to Kawasaki Daishi Park, where we played on the athletic equipment, jungle gym, and slide. Kawasaki Daishi Park is enormous and a lot of fun for families.
It was sunny, so we got thirsty.
On our way back home,
Momo’s water bottle was empty, so we stopped at a Seven Eleven convenience store to buy her a new bottle of water.
While I was filling up Momo’s bottle in front of the store, an unknown elderly woman approached me and asked,
“How old is your daughter? She is very cute.”
After I answered, she gave me ¥1,000, even though we were strangers.
I could see tears in her eyes.
We connected on a human level, and it made me think that when I become an old man, I want to do kind things for young people too.
Yesterday’s experience was unforgettable.
